Stars & Stripes Forever

Hi everyone!
So today was one of those crisis-of-the-wardrobe kind of days. I had cleaned my room just yesterday and within less than one hour I managed to put it upside down by trying on piece after piece of clothing. I was in one of those days when nothing seems to fit right, you know? And when that happens we all have our "salvation clothes", those outfits that always look good on you and that you have worn thousands of times. Well then, this little dress is also on the rescue party. I own it for four years now and it is one of my favorite pieces in my entire wardrobe. I wear it all year long because it is so pretty and versatile.
When I bought it, it was too big for me (like so many pieces, tiny person problem...) so I shortened it and I think now it fits really well.
I added the scarf to give it a special touch, the american flag has a very cool pattern. The sandals are the same as always, I know I should change a little bit, but these are the most comfortable pair that I own and I always wanna show you guys exactly what I wear (personally I think that those bloggers that take the shots with sky high heels look very pretty but afterwords I know they change to sneakers and they are being disloyal to their readers). So I'm sorry but you will see these sandals a loooooot this summer! But I will try to change more, I promise!
So about today, we took these photos during the afternoon, in a place nearby my boyfriend's house. And since he did so well and took such lovely photos I thought that is about time to introduce him officially to you, so you can meet the guy behind the camera! :)
At end of the day we went to dinner with some friends to our favourite Pizzeria and we had a wonderfull time :)

Então hoje foi um daqueles dias de crise de guarda-roupa. Tinha o quarto todo arrumado e em menos de uma hora consegui pô-lo de pantanas ao experimentar peça atrás de peça. Estava num daqueles dias em que nada parece ficar bem. E quando isso acontece todas temos as nossas roupas de salvação, aqueles conjuntos que sabemos que nos ficam bem e que já usámos vezes sem conta. Pois é, este pequeno vestido faz parte dessa pequena colectânea de salvamento. Tenho-o há quatro anos e é das peças preferidas do meu armário. Quando o comprei ficava-me um bocado grande (como quase toda a minha roupa, problemas de pinipom...) então fiz-lhe a bainha e acho que ficou a acentar bastante bem. Juntei-lhe este lenço para dar um toque especial ao look, acho que a bandeira americana tem um padrão muito bonito. As sandálias são as mesmas de sempre, sei que devia variar mais, mas são as sandálias mais confortáveis que tenho e quero sempre mostra-vos o que uso tal e qual (pessoalmente acho que aquelas bloggers que aparecem de salto agulha tão glamorosas e mal acaba a sessão mudam para sapatilhas estão a ser desleais com os seus leitores). Portanto vão ver estas sandálias muuuuitas vezes este verão, e peço desculpa por isso! Tentarei variar, prometo! :)
Quanto ao dia de hoje, tirámos estas fotos durante a tarde, perto da casa do meu namorado. E como ele hoje se portou tão bem e tirou umas fotos tão bonitas, acho que já está mais do que na altura de se fazer uma apresentação oficial, portanto no final podem conhecer o rapaz atrás da maquina! :)
Ao final do dia fomos jantar com amigos ao sitio do costume, a Pizzarte, e divertimo-nos imenso! :) Como eu adoro aquelas pizzas!

Maxi Skirt

Hi everyone!
So remember that I told you that today we were going to a medieval fair? Well, we were not that lucky... We're in August, right? It's the middle of the summer, right...? In summer is hot...right?! Hummm... Apparently I am wrong somewhere because as I drive by today it started raining like crazy and we had to turn back... It looked like those awful winter day with crazy rain! What is happening to the weather?!
We were really looking forward on going and we were very disappointed...
Luckily we arrived in time for lunch and we had the most amazing lunch with my boyfriend's family, i love them so much! :) they are really the most adorable of families! His youngest sister is a youtuber and has the most amazing videos, you have to check out this one, is super, super adorable!

After that we hang around the house and watched "Sweeney Todd" (huge fan of Tim Burton here! and humm Jonnhy Depp! <3)
At the end of the day we went out for dinner and we took this photos just before in a garden above the mall. As you can see the crappy weather still rules around here... But hopelessly not for long!

Lembram-se de vos ter contado que hoje iamos à Feira Medieval? Pois... não tivemos sorte nenhuma! 
Vamos recapitular... estamos em Agosto, certo? Em pleno Verão... certo? No verão faz calor... certo?! Hmmmm.... Aparentemente estou errada algures porque à medida que ia conduzindo as gotas começaram a cair e em menos de nada estavamos no meio de uma chuva torrencial de Janeiro e tivemos de voltar para trás! O que é que está a acontecer ao tempo?!
Por sorte voltámos mesmo a tempo do almoço e tivemos um almoço fantástico com a família do meu namorado. Gosto tanto deles, são uma família mesmo adorável! :) A irmã mais nova dele é youtuber e tem videos fantasticos, têm de ver este, é super super fofinho! Vão adorar! :)

Durante a tarde ficámos por casa e vimos "Sweeney Todd" (grande fã de Tim Burton e hmmmm Jonnhy Depp! <3).
Ao final do dia fomos jantar fora e tirámos estas fotos no jardim que fica no piso de cima do Fórum Aveiro. Como podem ver o mau tempo continua... Mas espero que não dure!

The Secret Dock

Hi everyone!
Today I spent the day with my boyfriend, he went to London for a few days with his family, and I was missing him a lot, so when he finally arrived I was super happy! :)
We went to our favorite pizzeria for lunch (Pizzarte, it has the best pizzas in town!), then we went to the movies, we saw "The Guardian of the Galaxy", it is really good, it has great actors, great effects, laughing scenes, action scenes... it is a really good movie if you like Marvel.
At the end of the day we took a walk by a kind of secret and remote place near my house where the river passes by. It is really beautiful at sunset I though it was the perfect place to take today's photos. There were two fisherman there fishing crabs but besides them we were alone in the nature and that is why I love this particular place!
Tomorrow we are going to a medieval fair, next post I will tell you all about it! ;)

Olá a todos! 
Hoje passei o dia com o namorado, que foi passar uns dias em Londres com a família, e voltou finalmente. Eu por cá já estava cheia de saudades dele e ansiosa por o ver! :)
Fomos almoçar à nossa pizzaria favorita, a Pizzarte, onde se podem comer as melhores pizzas de Aveiro, e depois fomos ao cinema ver "Os Guardiões da Galáxia", é um filme muito bom, com bons actores, bons efeitos, cenas cómicas, cenas de acção, enfim, tem de tudo, é mesmo um bom filme para os que gostam da Marvel.
Ao final do dia fomos dar um passeio perto da minha casa, num sitio afastado e quase secreto, onde passa a ria. É um recanto mesmo bonito, especialmente ao pôr-do-sol, e achei que era o sítio ideal para as fotos de hoje. Tirando dois pescadores que andavam a pescar caranguejos, estávamos sozinhos com a natureza, e é por isso que adoro aquele sitio! :)
Amanhã vamos à Feira Medieval de Santa Maria da Feira, conto-vos tudo no próximo post :)

Autumn Flowers

Hi everyone!
Today's look is really old school and romantic. It's not a really summery look because of the dark colours, but sometimes is nice to bring a little of Autumn into our summer looks (but just a tinny little bit, I want summer to last as far as possible! :p)
The photos today look a little too similar and I apologize for that, but I didn't have anyone to help me with the photos before going out so I had to do it by myself. I'm still working on improving the quality of the photos, before starting the blog I had zero knowledge about how to do a proper photograph and I just bought my camera less than a month ago. I am watching tutorials whenever I can to learn more and asking help to my good friend Betty, she is an excellent photographer and one step at a time I will be learning...! :)

Olá a todos!
O look de hoje é muito old school e romântico. Não é muito veranesco devido às cores escuras, mas por vezes é bom variar e trazer uma lufada de Outono aos nossos looks (mas só um bocadinho mesmo pequenino, que por mim o Verão pode durar quanto tempo quiser! :p)
As fotos de hoje estão um pouco monótonas e peço desculpa por isso, mas na altura não tive ninguém para me ajudar e tive de as tirar sozinha. Ainda estou a aprender como melhorar a qualidade das fotos, antes de começar o blog eu era um zero à esquerda no que toca à fotografia e comprei a minha máquina há menos de 1 mês. Sempre que posso vejo tutoriais e muitas vezes recorro à minha grande amiga Betty, ela é uma grande fotógrafa e passo a passo vou aprendendo...! :)
Dêem uma vista de olhos no blog dela, tem fotos sensacionais! E aprendeu tudo sozinha ao longo destes anos!

Out of Africa

Hi everyone! :)
Today we have a really colorful post, I love mixing prints and bold colors and loved this combination! :)
The etnic print and bright colours remembered me of the great movie "Out of Africa". I love that movie and my very good friend Bi loves that movies even more, she was the one who showed it to be, among so many other great things trough our many years of friendship! :) If you didn't see that movie I totally recommend it, it's so romantic and has the most amazing views of Africa, and if that doesn't convince you, it has Meryl Streep, so I rest my case! :p

Hoje trago um post muito colorido, adoro misturar padrões diferentes e cores fortes e adorei como ficou esta combinação! :)
O padrão étnico e as cores fortes fizeram-me lembrar o filme "Africa Minha". Adoro esse filme, é um clássico, e a minha grande amiga Bi adora-o ainda mais, aliás, foi ela que mo mostrou, assim como tantas outras coisas boas ao longo destes anos de amizade! :) Se ainda não viram este filme, recomendo-o, é um romance muito bonito e está repleto de paisagens africanas de cortar a respiração. E se isso ainda não vos convenceu, tem a Meryl Streep, haverá mais a dizer? :p

Think Pink

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the beach, and it was so great that I lost track of time and ended up being there too long. When I arrived home I showered really quickly and with wet hair and no make up (a first for me) took this photos before the sun went down completely and before going out to dinner.
The skirt is an old favorite of mine, my favorite colour is pink and I just love every detail of this skirt.

At the beach a funny thing happened, when we parked the car there was a dog there under a car, he was really small and looked kind of lost. I tried to pet him but he was to scared and I thought to myself, must be an abandoned dog, street dogs don't look so frightened by such small girls. A few hours later, I went to the public restrooms and saw a sign about a missing dog with photos, and it was him! I called the number and told the owners where I fond him and they went there to get him and were very great-full.
I do not own any pets but I'm crazy about dogs and one day I would like to have one, so I can understand the suffering of the owners who were looking for him. And I am always happy to help people, I believe that If you do good things, good things will happen to you, and one day as a doctor I wanna be able to help people and make their lives better.

Olá a todos!
Ontem passei o dia na praia e estava um tempo ótimo, tão bom que perdi a noção do tempo e acabei por lá ficar até bastante tarde. Em casa, tomei banho mesmo rápido, e ainda de cabelo molhado e sem maquilhagem (o que não é muito habitual em mim) tirámos estas fotos na varanda antes que o sol se pusesse por completo.
A saia é antiga mas gosto mesmo muito dela, a minha cor favorita é o rosa e adoro cada detalhe desta saia.

Na praia aconteceu uma coisa engraçada, quando estacionámos o carro havia um cachorro escondido debaixo de um carro, muito pequeno e parecia um pouco perdido. Tentei chamá-lo, mas ele estava com medo e eu pensei comigo mesmo, deve ser um cão abandonado, os cães de rua não ficam assustados com meninas pequeninas! :p
Algumas horas mais tarde, fui para à casa-de-banho da praia e vi um anúncio um cão desaparecido com fotos, e era ele! Liguei para o número e disse aos proprietários onde o tinha encontrado e eles foram lá buscá-lo e ficaram mesmo agradecidos.
Eu não tenho nenhum animal de estimação, mas adoro cães e um dia gostaria de ter um, assim que consigo compreender o sofrimento dos proprietários que estavam desesperados à procura dele. Estou sempre feliz em ajudar as pessoas, eu acredito que se fizermos coisas boas, coisas boas nos acontecerão, e um dia como médica quero ser capaz de ajudar as pessoas e tornar as suas vidas melhores.
