Autumn Flowers

Hi everyone!
Today's look is really old school and romantic. It's not a really summery look because of the dark colours, but sometimes is nice to bring a little of Autumn into our summer looks (but just a tinny little bit, I want summer to last as far as possible! :p)
The photos today look a little too similar and I apologize for that, but I didn't have anyone to help me with the photos before going out so I had to do it by myself. I'm still working on improving the quality of the photos, before starting the blog I had zero knowledge about how to do a proper photograph and I just bought my camera less than a month ago. I am watching tutorials whenever I can to learn more and asking help to my good friend Betty, she is an excellent photographer and one step at a time I will be learning...! :)

Olá a todos!
O look de hoje é muito old school e romântico. Não é muito veranesco devido às cores escuras, mas por vezes é bom variar e trazer uma lufada de Outono aos nossos looks (mas só um bocadinho mesmo pequenino, que por mim o Verão pode durar quanto tempo quiser! :p)
As fotos de hoje estão um pouco monótonas e peço desculpa por isso, mas na altura não tive ninguém para me ajudar e tive de as tirar sozinha. Ainda estou a aprender como melhorar a qualidade das fotos, antes de começar o blog eu era um zero à esquerda no que toca à fotografia e comprei a minha máquina há menos de 1 mês. Sempre que posso vejo tutoriais e muitas vezes recorro à minha grande amiga Betty, ela é uma grande fotógrafa e passo a passo vou aprendendo...! :)
Dêem uma vista de olhos no blog dela, tem fotos sensacionais! E aprendeu tudo sozinha ao longo destes anos!

Out of Africa

Hi everyone! :)
Today we have a really colorful post, I love mixing prints and bold colors and loved this combination! :)
The etnic print and bright colours remembered me of the great movie "Out of Africa". I love that movie and my very good friend Bi loves that movies even more, she was the one who showed it to be, among so many other great things trough our many years of friendship! :) If you didn't see that movie I totally recommend it, it's so romantic and has the most amazing views of Africa, and if that doesn't convince you, it has Meryl Streep, so I rest my case! :p

Hoje trago um post muito colorido, adoro misturar padrões diferentes e cores fortes e adorei como ficou esta combinação! :)
O padrão étnico e as cores fortes fizeram-me lembrar o filme "Africa Minha". Adoro esse filme, é um clássico, e a minha grande amiga Bi adora-o ainda mais, aliás, foi ela que mo mostrou, assim como tantas outras coisas boas ao longo destes anos de amizade! :) Se ainda não viram este filme, recomendo-o, é um romance muito bonito e está repleto de paisagens africanas de cortar a respiração. E se isso ainda não vos convenceu, tem a Meryl Streep, haverá mais a dizer? :p

Think Pink

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the beach, and it was so great that I lost track of time and ended up being there too long. When I arrived home I showered really quickly and with wet hair and no make up (a first for me) took this photos before the sun went down completely and before going out to dinner.
The skirt is an old favorite of mine, my favorite colour is pink and I just love every detail of this skirt.

At the beach a funny thing happened, when we parked the car there was a dog there under a car, he was really small and looked kind of lost. I tried to pet him but he was to scared and I thought to myself, must be an abandoned dog, street dogs don't look so frightened by such small girls. A few hours later, I went to the public restrooms and saw a sign about a missing dog with photos, and it was him! I called the number and told the owners where I fond him and they went there to get him and were very great-full.
I do not own any pets but I'm crazy about dogs and one day I would like to have one, so I can understand the suffering of the owners who were looking for him. And I am always happy to help people, I believe that If you do good things, good things will happen to you, and one day as a doctor I wanna be able to help people and make their lives better.

Ontem passei o dia na praia e estava um tempo ótimo, tão bom que perdi a noção do tempo e acabei por lá ficar até bastante tarde. Em casa, tomei banho mesmo rápido, e ainda de cabelo molhado e sem maquilhagem (o que não é muito habitual em mim) tirámos estas fotos na varanda antes que o sol se pusesse por completo.
A saia é antiga mas gosto mesmo muito dela, a minha cor favorita é o rosa e adoro cada detalhe desta saia.

Na praia aconteceu uma coisa engraçada, quando estacionámos o carro havia um cachorro escondido debaixo de um carro, muito pequeno e parecia um pouco perdido. Tentei chamá-lo, mas ele estava com medo e eu pensei comigo mesmo, deve ser um cão abandonado, os cães de rua não ficam assustados com meninas pequeninas! :p
Algumas horas mais tarde, fui para à casa-de-banho da praia e vi um anúncio um cão desaparecido com fotos, e era ele! Liguei para o número e disse aos proprietários onde o tinha encontrado e eles foram lá buscá-lo e ficaram mesmo agradecidos.
Eu não tenho nenhum animal de estimação, mas adoro cães e um dia gostaria de ter um, assim que consigo compreender o sofrimento dos proprietários que estavam desesperados à procura dele. Estou sempre feliz em ajudar as pessoas, eu acredito que se fizermos coisas boas, coisas boas nos acontecerão, e um dia como médica quero ser capaz de ajudar as pessoas e tornar as suas vidas melhores.

Tropical Shirt

Hi everyone!
Hope you are all having a wonderful day, here the sun is shinning and I had a very busy day. I had my family here for lunch and I made dessert and helped my mom with the cooking (one thing about me, I'm a major sweet tooth and love baking!). After lunch we went for a walk downtown and there was a little market with homemade products, regional food and all kinds of interesting things on sale. I love this types of market, where you can find all sort of original stuff!
So about the outfit, I'm not really a jeans kind of gal, I'm more into skirts and dresses, but today was really windy so I decided to wear pants for the first time this summer, a white top and a tropical shirt, that I absolutely love. I borrowed the necklace from my mother (and I was the one who gave it to her on her birthday :p).
Tomorrow I will bring you a different post (not fashion related) so stay tuned!

Olá a todos!
Espero que estejam a ter um ótimo dia, aqui o sol voltou a brilhar depois de um sábado de chuva torrencial e o meu dia até agora foi muito ocupado. Recebemos a nossa família para o almoço (o típico almoço de Domingo bem português :p) e eu fiz a sobremesa, como é habito, já que sou muito doceira (especialmente chocolate) e adoro fazer doces!
Depois do almoço fomos todos dar uma volta ao centro de Aveiro e pela zona do Fórum havia um pequeno mercado de artesanato, comida regional e produtos em segunda mão (para os Aveirenses, o mercado vai voltar a realizar-se no próximo Domingo). Adoro este tipo de mercados artesanais, onde por vezes se encontram coisas mesmo únicas.
Quanto ao outfit de hoje, eu não sou grande fã de jeans, a minha paixão é exclusiva de saias e vestidos, mas de vez em quando, quando o Rei faz anos, lá decido pôr umas calças, especialmente porque hoje estava muito vento. Então pela primeira vez este verão vesti umas calças, combinei-as com um top simples branco, uma camisa tropical que adoro, o colar é da minha mãe (e até foi eu que lhe ofereci nos anos! :p).

Amanhã haverá um post diferente (que não terá haver com moda) assim que estejam atentos!

By the Sunset

Hello everyone!
Yesterday the sun finally made a shy appearance and brought us a modest sunset. I was really happy because the last photos were so grey and this ones turn out much better, hope you like them!
I went for a walk with my boyfriend at the end of the day and we took this pictures by the river, which is called Ria (a river of salt water) de Aveiro (my town). You can see the Ria and the beautiful houses nearby. I want to do more shots near this place, I think is really beautiful and I want to show you more of my little town.
During the shots we had a huge laugh about something from Game of Thrones (we are so addicted to the show!) because my outfit reminded me of the song "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" (you can gess who the bear is! :p)

Olá a todos!
Ontem o sol apareceu finalmente, ainda que timido, e tivemos um pôr-do-sol muito modesto. Fiquei feliz por ter alguma luz para tirar as fotos porque as últimas estão tão cinzentas e estas ficaram bastante melhor. Ao fim da tarde fui dar um passeio pela baixa com o meu namorado, na zona do Rossio, e nas fotos podem ver a Ria de Aveiro e as casas tão bonitas que existem naquele local. Tenho de tirar mais fotos neste sitio, acho que dá um bom background e quero mostrar-vos mais da minha cidade :)
Enquanto faziamos as fotos eu não conseguia parar de rir porque a roupa que tinha vestido fez-me lembrar uma música do Game of Thrones (estamos tão viciados nessa série!) "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" que passou nos créditos de um dos episodios. (E já adivinham quem é o urso... :p)

Golden Skirt

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I went to the beach and it was a great day! I sat around the towel reading this month's cosmo while my boyfriend and his friends played in the freezing sea (boys will be boys...am I right?).
At the end of the day I dressed up to go out to dinner and was hoping to do the shots by the sunset but I was unlucky, the sun covered up when we left the beach, and we had to take them with a grey sky... At least it was still warm, and I have the best photographer ever, who is very, very patient with me and deserved some pizza after that as a reward!

So, about the skirt, this is a really special one, the night I met my, in that day, soon-to-be-boyfriend, I was wearing this exact outfit. It was last September (one day I will tell you this story right), so every time I wear this skirt I think about that special day :)
As the skirt has golden details, I matched it with a golden necklace, gold sandals, and applied golden eye shadow all around the eye (you can see it in the close up picture). I have brown eyes and there isn't much colors that go with them (unless you are a fabulous model and then everything looks great on you) so I usually just use the typical brown-black-white combination. But sometimes is nice to do something different and I think the gold goes well with brown eyes, so give it a try! :)

Little White Dress

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I went with my boyfriend to a lovely place in Portugal called Peso da Régua, which is in the Douro region, a place known for its stunning views, the fantastic wine and the beautiful river also called Douro (the names comes from the word golden because it shines like gold with the sun light). My father's family is from there and they have a restaurant near the river called "O Maleiro", its a family restaurant with excellent home made food that I really recommend! ;)

After lunch we went to the Douro Museum, a museum about the region, history of wine and many other interesting facts and then we took a walk by the river. It was really hot (36ºC!) and I couldn't bare to take the photos in the sun, I was melting with the heat! :p

About the dress, I think is the perfect dress! I bought it on sales in Barcelona, is from Brandy Melville, a new shop that just opened and has the most beautiful things. I really liked too many peaces there but with this dress was love at first sight. It's so beautiful and light and I really love the detail on the back.
