Disney Inspiration: Esmeralda

Hi everyone!
Here we are with another Disney inspired post! :)
So this time I didn't choose a Disney princess, about she also counts as one to me. Esmeralda is a brave and very independent girl that always speaks her mind and is so selfless and really cares about others.

When I was little I loved this movie so much (like every single one from Disney) and watched it over and over. My favorite part was the final scene, of the battle, when the gargoyles are going crazy at the police enforcement, I could not stop laughing!
Also, when I was little I really wanna dress up as Esmeralda for Halloween but that never came trough, so now I got the chance to do it, ok, sort of :p
So I inspired in Esmeralda's both outfits and this was the result: I'm actually wearing a dress (that I have showed you here) with a white crop top over and a denim shirt (because she wears a turquoise corset).
I wore a golden belt that kind of reminded me of her coin scarf and gold bag and shoes to match.

I hope you like the results! It's difficult to make an outfit so detailed when I don't have all my clothes with me. I have most of my closet in Portugal and only bring the essentials with me for Barcelona (and the essentials to me already covers a lot of stuff :p). Maybe in some months from now I'll do another Esmeralda-inspired-outfit because I have so many more ideas!

Aqui estamos com mais outro look inspirado na Disney (e como eu gosto destes!)
Desta vez não escolhi uma princesa a sério, mas para mim ela conta como uma. A Esmeralda é uma rapariga muito corajosa e independente que diz sempre o que pensa e é muito solidária e precocupada com as outras pessoas. 

Quando era pequenina adorava tanto este filme (tal como todos da Disney) e via-o tantas e tantas vezes; a minha cena favorita era a batalha final, quando as gárgulas estão a dar cabo da força policial lá em baixo, não conseguia deixar de me rir com eles! 
Também quando era pequena queria muito vestir-me de Esmeralda para o Halloween mas isso nunca aconteceu, assim que desta vez pude fazer isso (ok, mais ou menos :p).
Assim que há uns dias inspirei-me em ambos os looks que ela tem no filme e este foi o resultado: estou a usar um vestido (que vos mostrei aqui) com um crop top branco e uma camisa de ganga (que traz o toque azul do espartilho dela). Usei um lenço roxo e rosa na cabeça, um cinto dourado que me lembrava um pouco o lenço dela com as moedas, e sapatilhas e mala douradas para completar o look.

Espero que tenham gostado do resultado. É dificil para mim fazer um outfit com tantos detalhes enquanto aqui estou, a maior parte do meu guarda-roupa fica em Aveiro e só trago o essencial comigo para Barcelona (e o essencial para mim já inclui muuuita coisa :p). Talvez volte a fazer outro look inspirado na Esmeralda daqui a uns meses, já que tenho imensas ideias para diferentes combinações.

Presenting: Francisca from Fashannel

Hi everyone!
I had been dreaming about doing this post from the beginning of the blog, and I'm very happy that it finally came through! :)
After presenting you one of my best friend's work, in the post Presenting Betty from Nowhere, I wanted to present you another friend that I admire so, so much.
Her name is Francisca Ferreira, she's 13 and she is a beauty youtuber. Her channel, Fashannel, started more than a year ago, her subscribers have been increasing enormously, and she keeps bettering herself on each video, it's a pleasure to watch them all!

My lovely readers, this is the beauty guru that you don't wanna miss! She is the most talented young girl I have ever met and I know that she will improve herself each year and keep surprising us all. She does her videos in perfect english and talks about fashion, beauty, home decor, school, films, movies, DIY, and a little about her personal life as well. I've seen many beauty guru's videos but none has been as good as hers, because hers are so charming and quirky, and if you don't believe be, just click here.

So, when my friend Betty was here I asked her to do a photoshoot of Francisca to post on the blog. We had a lot of fun that afternoon and I can't tell you how hard it was to select just a few photos, because this girl is gorgeous and looks perfect in every single one!

Finally, I just wanted to open up my heart and tell you that life makes many turns, it's complicated and I'm a very happy person now, but a year ago I was in such a really bad place, 2012 and most of 2013 were really crappy years and I was loosing hope of finding my way back to being normal and happy again, but eventually I had a breakthrough. I had the best of luck to meet the love of my life last year, and with him came his awesome family, that I love so much, specially his two little sisters, Sofia and Francisca.
And this is why I wanted to present you guys Francisca's work, she is such a unique and dedicated person, between school and study, she always manages to find the time to record and edit her videos (and believe me it takes a lot of work and many hours to be done) and I think that such a young talent should be shared and admired.
I admire her so much, and I now she will have a brilliant life ahead, and so does Sofia, who is also such unique and special girl.

Andava a planear este post desde o início do blog e como podem imaginar estou muito feliz de finalmente se ter realizado! :)

Depois de vos ter apresentado o trabalho de uma grande amiga minha, a Betty, no post PresentingBetty from Nowhere, chegou a vez de vos apresentar outra amiga que admiro muito.

O nome dela é Francisca Ferreira, tem 13 anos e é uma beauty youtuber. O seu canal, Fashannel, começou há mais de um ano atrás, os seus subscritores aumentam cada dia, e ela supera-se a cada novo vídeo, é um prazer vê-los a todos!

Meus queridos (talvez seja mais queridas) leitores e leitoras, esta é a beauty guru que têm de ter na vossa lista de subscribers! Ela é a rapariga mais nova e talentosa que conheço, e cada vez me surpreende mais com o seu talento. Todos os vídeos dela são em inglês (num british perfeito) e fala de moda, beleza, decoração, da escola, de filmes, livros, DIY, e um pouco sobre ela também. Já vi muitos vídeos de beauty gurus, mas nenhuns tão bons, nem tão divertidos, ela tem um charme único, e se não acreditam carreguem aqui.

Então, quando a minha amiga Betty esteve em Aveiro, eu pedi-lhe para fazer uma sessão de fotos à Francisca para poder fazer este post. Foi uma tarde mesmo divertida, tivemos imensa sorte com o tempo e, acreditem, nem vos consigo explicar o difícil que foi selecionar apenas algumas fotos para vos mostrar, porque ela está sempre tão bem em todas!

Por fim, queria só abrir o coração por um momento e dizer-vos que a vida dá muitas voltas, é complicada, e agora sou muito feliz, mas há um ano atrás não estava nada bem, 2012 e 2013 foram anos muito maus para mim e estava a perder a esperança de alguma vez conseguir voltar a sentir-me normal e feliz, mas felizmente consegui. Tive a enorme sorte de conhecer o amor da minha vida há um ano, e com ele veio a sua família maravilhosa, que adoro tanto, em especial as duas irmãs dele, a Sofia e a Francisca.

E é por isto que vos queria apresentar o trabalho da Francisca, porque ela é uma miúda única e tão dedicada, que quando chega da escola e entre o estudo ainda arranja tempo para gravar e editar (e acreditem, editar um vídeo dá muito, muito trabalho e requer muitas horas) e acho que um talento assim deve ser partilhado.

Eu admiro-a muito, e sei que terá um percurso brilhante, assim como a Sofia, que também é uma rapariga tão única e especial.

Hi everyone!

Today I bring you a new post with big news, the blog has a total new look, as you can see!

From the start, I've been changing the blog non-stop, little by little, but was never really satisfied with the results, so I started doing more searching and learned about templates and html, and after a few hours of works here is the final result! I hope you like it as much as I do 'cause this one is a keeper! :)

About the photos, they were taken here in Barcelona last weekend and now I'll tell you about the title of this post. When we started shooting, I noticed that we were next to a bus stop and the advertisement reflected me perfectly, so I could see how I looked. Needless to say that it was one of the easyest and fastest shoots, beacuse I could control my poses and know if it was looking like I wanted. So to all my fellow bloggers, this is a really cool trick to try on your next shoot! ;)

About the outfit, it was very hot that day and I was planning on site seeing all day with my boyfriend, so light clothes and confy shoes were a must. And since I was feeling so adventurous I did two things: mixing prints and a warrior hairstyle (you can check out at the end of the post which character I'm referring to if you didn't guess already :p)

Olá a todos!

Hoje trago-vos um novo post com uma grande novidade, o blog mudou de look, como já devem ter reparado! 

Desde que comecei o blog esteve sempre em constantes alterações, mas nunca ficava completamente satisfeita com o resultado, até que decidi fazer mais pesquisa sobre templates e html, e depois de algumas horas de trabalho, este é o resultado final, espero que gostem, porque este é para manter! :) 

Quanto às fotos, foram tiradas aqui em Barcelona, no fim-de-semana passado e com isto explico-vos o porquê do título do post. Quando as começámos a tirar, reparei que estávamos ao lado de uma paragem de autocarro e o cartaz reflectia perfeitamente a minha imagem, assim que foi das sessões mais rápidas e fáceis de fazer porque conseguia ver exactamente como estava e as poses que queria fazer. Assim que, para todas as minhas leitoras bloggers, este é um bom truque para as vossas sessões de fotos! ;)

Quanto ao outfit, nesse dia fazia muito calor e ia passar o dia a passear com o meu namorado, assim que era imperativo um look fresco e sapatos confortáveis. E como estava a sentir-me aventureira fiz duas coisas: misturar padrões e fazer um penteado de guerreira (no final do post podem descobrir em que personagem me baseei, se é que já não adivinharam :p)

From Barcelona, with love

Hi everyone! How are you?

Here I am again with a brand new post, and this is a very special one. I know I say that a lot, for me every post is special, but some have just a little more magic, and this is one of them. This past weekend I had a very special guest with me here in Barcelona, my boyfriend. I know, I just arrived here and he’s already visiting, but there was a very special reason for it. It was our first anniversary and we just could not be apart on such a special day. So I was fortunate enough to have him for a couple of days with me and it was marvelous.

This was his third visit here so we visited new places that I hadn't show him (there is always so much to see around here!) and the days just flew by.

On our day we were walking around town and I asked him to enter in one of my favorite stores of the moment, Brandy Melville, and he was so patient to enter in with me. And there I found the most perfect dress and my boyfriend bought it to me as a gift :)

Thank you again, Luís, for the dress and for everything else, you make my day every day :)

So this is the story of the dress, is a mix of purple and Bordeaux (I’m so bad at naming colors!), it’s loose, girly, light… For me it’s perfect.

We took this photos around Ciutadella Park and the rest was in Poble Español, a place that has replicas of iconic monuments from all over Spain, a beautiful place to visit!

Olá a todos! Como estão?

Aqui estou de volta com mais um post, e este é muito especial para mim. Ok, eu sei que digo isto muitas vezes, mas para mim todos os posts são especiais. Contudo, alguns têm um bocadinho mais de magia, e este é um deles.

Neste fim-de-semana tive a sorte de receber aqui em Barcelona um convidado muito especial, o meu namorado. E sim, eu só cheguei há uns dias e ele já cá veio, vão pensar que não nos largamos, mas este fim-de-semana era muito especial, fizemos um ano de namoro e simplesmente não podíamos estar longe nesse dia. Assim que tive imensa sorte de o ter por aqui uns dias e foram maravilhosos.

Esta foi a terceira visita dele cá, assim que explorámos novos sítios que ele ainda não tinha visto e aproveitámos o verão fora de época para passear muito, e os dias passaram a correr!

No nosso dia estávamos nós a passear quando nos cruzámos com uma das minhas lojas favoritas do momento, a Brandy Melville, e tive de entrar, e ele foi paciente e entrou comigo. Lá dentro encontrei um vestido em que foi amor à primeira vista, e sorte a minha, ele ofereceu-mo como prenda :)

Muito obrigada uma vez mais, Luís, pelo vestido e por tudo o resto, tu fazes o meu dia, cada dia! :)

E é esta a história deste vestido, uma mistura entre roxo e bordô (sou tão má a definir cores!), é solto, romântico, leve… para mim é perfeito.

Tirámos estas fotos no Parque da Ciutadella e as restantes no Poble Español, um sítio que contém réplicas de monumentos icónicos de toda a Espanha, um sítio muito bonito para visitar!
