Sunny Rain

Hi everyone!
Today I arrived home and am here for a few days. And how I needed it! It feels so good to be back! :) I have so many plans and so little time... When I'm here everyday goes by in an instant.
As I already told you my city is beautiful but has really bipolar whether: crazy rain, sun, wind, then rain again, then sun... As you can see by the pictures :p
At the background of the first picture you can see a lighthouse, that is a symbol of my town and the beach area. Did you know that it is the second biggest lighthouse on Europe? ;)
My boyfriend wants to take me there to the top for months now but we never found the time... Maybe next spring/summer we will try to go! :)

Olá a todos!
Hoje cheguei a casa e vou ficar aqui por uns dias. E como estava a precisar! É tão bom estar de volta :) Tenho tantos planos para estes dias e tão pouco tempo... Quando cá estou os dias passam a correr.
Como sabem Aveiro é muito bonito mas também muito bipolar: chuva, sol, vento, depois chuva outra vez, depois sol... enfim, acho que dá para ver pelas imagens.

Ao fundo na primeira imagem podem ver um farol, e uma pequena curiosidade para quem não o sabia, é o segundo maior de toda a Europa! ;)
O meu namorado anda a falar de lá irmos há meses mas nunca surgiu a oportunidade... Talvez na próxima primavera/verão! :)

So the weekend is finally here and I couldn't be happier! It was a crazy week full of work, long hours at the hospital, and little time for myself, so I'm taking the weekend to relax and charge batteries for the next week ahead.

O fim-de-semana finalmente chegou e eu não podia estar mais feliz! Foi uma semana muito longa, cheia de trabalho, imensas horas no hospital, e muito pouco tempo para mim, assim que vou tirar o fim-de-semana para desconectar e recarregar baterias para a próxima semana.

Breaking the rules

Hi everyone!
As every girl, I grew up with a set of fashion rules that I would learn along the way and one, and most important one of them, was that petite women must not use oversize clothes or else they would "disapear". For years and years I belived and stayed by that, until one day, puff, everything changed and the fashion statement was actually to break the rules. Suddendly everyone was wearing oversize, mixing bold colors, mixing prints, wearing sandals in winter, boots on summer... And after trying all of them there still was one missing, that I was certain I could never pull it off, the oversize blazer. But when I saw this one I was so in love with it that I decided to adventure for once.
So, in the end, rules are to be broken, right? :p

Como qualquer rapariga, eu cresci com uma série de regras de moda que ia aprendendo aqui e ali e tinha-as como dogmas divinos do que vestir e não vestir. Uma das mais importantes era que as raparigas baixinhas não devem usar roupa oversize para não "desaparecerem".
Durante anos e anos acreditei e cumpri sempre esta regra, até que um dia, puff, tudo mudou! Estávamos a quebrar todas as regras, roupa oversize, misturar cores primárias, misturar padrões, usar sandálias no inverno, botas no verão... e acho que depois de ir quebrando todas essas regras e aderindo à última moda, só ficou por quebrar uma - o oversize blazer.
Essa achava mesmo que não ia conseguir esperimentar, até que me apaixonei por este blazer e decidi aventurar-me.
Afinal, as regras são para se quebrar, não é?

A Day with Betty

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is having a great Monday (or as great as Mondays can be :p)
I had one last post to show you from when Betty came to visit me at the begining of October. Betty also did a post all about it in her blog, here, and the photos are so amazing!
We had a wonderful time, we hadn't seen each other in two years and it was so great seeing her after so long. We had a lot of fun that day, it was a bit cloudy, but I also love this kind of grey days, they are kind of magical, don't you think?
That day we went for a walk around town, took some photos, visited all the places we used to go, had tea and macaroons, and at night had dinner with friends and went to the movies. It was a perfect day and I only wish I could spend more days like this with her! :)

Espero que estejam todos a ter uma boa segunda-feira (dentro do possível :p)
Tinha guardadas umas fotos de quando a Betty me visitou, no início de Outubro. A Betty também fez um post sobre a sua visita a Aveiro no seu blog, que podem ver aqui, as fotos estão espectaculares!
Foram uns dias excelentes, já não nos víamos há 2 anos e foi tão bom vê-la após tanto tempo. Este dia em especial foi ótimo, tirámos o dia para passear as duas, estava um dia muito cinzento, mas também gosto de dias assim, têm algo de mágico, não acham?
Nesse dia passeámos pela cidade, tirámos fotos, visitámos todos os sítios onde costumávamos ir quando andávamos no secundário, tomámos chá e comemos macarons, e ao final do dia tivemos um jantar com amigos e depois fomos ao cinema. Foi um dia mesmo perfeito, e só gostava de ter mais assim com ela! :)

Shop Guide: Tartan

Hi everyone!

So in request to a friend I'm doing another shop guide, this one about tartan pieces. This pattern is a major protagonist of fall and winter and the best of it is that it can be found in any piece, from skirts to bags, and it looks great with other patterns, like stripes, polka dots and flowers, so I think that it is a must-have to our fall wardbrobe! ;)

A pedido de uma amiga, decidi fazer outro shop guide, desta vez sobre peças tartan. Este padrão é um dos grandes protagonistas deste Outono e Inverno e a melhor parte é que pode ser encontrado em qualquer tipo de peça, desde saias a malas, e combina muito bem com outros padrões, como riscas, bolas e flores, assim que o considero um must-have do nosso guarda-roupa de Outono! ;)
