Hi everyone! Today I bring you a different kind of post, I have been nominated by Marlene of Inspirations with M (By the way, check out her amazing blog!) for a challenge were I have to share 7 random facts about me.

So here they are:

1.     I’m a major nerd, I love reading adventure and science fiction books and have been introduced to computer games by my boyfriend and now I play with him

2.     I wear glasses, but hate to see myself with them. I put contacts everyday and only wear glasses at home

3.     I don’t know how to whistle! Never did and probably never will

4.     My natural hair is light brown and I have blonde highlights, I like it better lighter 

5.     I really, really hate my legs and they are always the major problem when taking photos for the blog

6.     Sometimes patients don’t believe I’m the doctor because I look so young and hardly believe my age (and believe me, that can be a problem!)

7.      I cannot leave my house without make up on, if I don't put at least foundation I feel naked. Weird, right?

Olá a todos! Hoje trago um post diferente, fui nomeada pela Marlene do Inspirations with M (já agora espreitem o blog fantástico dela!) para um desafio onde tenho de partilhar 7 factos sobre mim. E aqui estão:

1.     Sou uma grande nerd, adoro livros de aventuras, fantasia e ficção científica e agora graças ao meu namorado também jogo no computador com ele

2.     Eu uso óculos, mas odeio ver-me com eles. No dia-a-dia uso lentes de contacto e os óculos são só para andar por casa

3.     Eu não sei assobiar! Nunca consegui e provavelmente nunca aprenderei

4.     O meu cabelo natural é castanho claro e faço madeixas loiras desde há dois anos, gosto mais de o ver assim 

5.     Eu odeio mesmo, mesmo, mesmo as minhas pernas e são o grande problema a tirar fotos

6.     Por vezes os pacientes não acreditam que sou eu a médica e alguns não acreditam na minha idade (a acreditem, às vezes isso pode ser um problema!)

7.  É-me impossível sair de casa sem estar maquilhada. Se não puser base sinto-me nua. Estranho, não é?

20 facts about me

Hi everyone! How are you today?
So I have been blogging for a little less than a month now (started 26th July) and I think that it is important to know a little about the person behind the clothes so I made this post in order for you to know me a little better. Here are 20 facts about me:

1. Where are you from?
I am from a little town in the coast of Portugal, Aveiro. It is a beautiful place that reminds a little of Venice. I love my town! :)

2. What do you do?
I'm a med student going to my final year and I study in Barcelona. This is my sixth, and final, year in Barcelona and during the period of classes I manage my time between Barcelona and Aveiro.

3. What are you going to do when you graduate?
I will graduate (fingers crossed) on June 2015 and I will move back to Portugal. In November 2015 I will attend the specialty exam, a national exam that we must do in order to enter a specialty. So next year I will be studying non-stop until the Big Day (fuuuuun!)

4. Why studying abroad?
When I finished high school I didn't have a score high enough to enter in Medicine in Portugal, so I had to try to go to Spain, that had a lower score to enter and I was accepted at UAB (Autonomus University of Barcelona).

5. You prefer living in Barcelona or Aveiro?
Aveiro, because my boyfriend, family and childhood friends are there. Home is where the heart is, right? Barcelona is a great city and has given me lots of memories and I have great friends there (that I will miss very much) but it is also really hard to be so far away from the ones I love and I've been away for too many years. Also, as beautiful as Barcelona can be, it is also really big and has so many people, that is easy to feel alone and lost out there.

6. What specialty are you planning to do?
I love endocrinology and would like to pursue that but I need a really high score on the exam, and I have other possibility on the table, so it is all still in the open.

7. Any hobbies?
I love to read and write, I write mostly stories in a Jane Austen kind of world. Also like ridding bicycle, going to the movies, take long walks, hanging out with friends, and, of course, shopping! :p

8. Random things you like to do?
Being with my boyfriend, sure is nº1
Take long walks in Barcelona with my great friend Ba while talking about almost anything
Being the personal shopper of my mother, sister and boyfriend and help them with shooping
Going to the beach and getting tan
The incredible sense of humor of my sister
Meeting with my girlfriends and laugh all night long
Baking desserts and seeing the pleasure in people's face when they eat them
Watching the rain while cosy inside
Thunderstorms
Wearing out new clothes
The first yellow leaves of Autumn
Christmas songs
Fireplaces in winter
A bookshelf full of books
Re-organizing my closet
Starting my day with chocolate

9. Favorite season?
Definitely Summer, but also like the first days of Autumn, for me they are the most beautiful ones of the year.

10. How many skirts are in your closet?
Ok I get ask this question A LOT. The ones who know me know I love skirts. I don't know for sure, I have been collecting them for several years now. I would say more than 50 for sure, between all seasons, but one day when I have them all in one place I will count them.

11. What is your favorite color?
Definitely coral!

12. How do you define your style?
I would say a mix of boho and preppy

13. Favorite book?
Pride&Prejudice, without a doubt

14. Favorite movie?
Pride&Prejudice (I'm consistent! :p and I have seen it like... 50 times?!)
Also Anna Karenina, Les Miserables (and any musical) and Beauty and the Beast (and any disney movie also! :p)

15. Do you watch any series?
Yes, I'm a major series addict! I watch Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, True Blood, Game of Thrones and of course the classic Sex and the City.

16. Favorite food?
Pasta with almost anything, pizza, lasagna, fruit and chocolate desserts

17. Why starting a fashion blog?
I'm most passionate about fashion and I have been reading fashion bloggs for some years. I think I have my own style and would like to inspire others.

18. Who does your photos?
By boyfriend and my sister

19. Why the name "Tere's Scrubs"?
Well it occurred to me that my clothes are my daily uniform, and scrubs are my hospital uniform, so it was a bridge between the two. Oh and I'm Tere, or Teresa :)

20. Expectations for Tere's Scrubs?
To be able to inspire others, to have fun doing the blog (although it takes a lot of work), to improve my style and myself, to create kind of a style diary that I will be fun to recap later, and to meet new bloggers and readers! :)


I hope they didn't turn out too silly, I felt kind of weird while doing this post, but that's the thing about blogging, it makes you leave your comfort zone and I was in need of that. Olá a todos! Como estão?
O blog fez há pouco tempo um mês (teve início a 26 de Julho) e acho que é importante conhecer um bocado a pessoa por detrás da roupa, por isso fiz este post para me conhecerem um bocadinho melhor. Aqui estão 20 perguntas sobre mim:


1.     De onde és?
Sou de Aveiro, uma cidade no litoral de Portugal, conhecida por lembrar Veneza, adoro a minha cidade!

2.     O que fazes?
Estudo medicina e vou agora para o sexto ano. Estudo na Universidade Autónoma de Barcelona e este vai ser o meu último ano a viver lá. Durante o período de aulas divido o meu tempo entre Aveiro e Barcelona.

3.  Quais são os teus planos pós graduação?

Vou-me licenciar em Junho de 2015 (se tudo correr bem!) e vou voltar para Portugal. Em Novembro de 2015 vou-me apresentar ao exame da especialidade e até lá tenho muuuuuito para estudar (que divertido!)

4.     Porquê estudar lá fora?

Quando terminei o secundário tinha receio de que a minha média não fosse suficiente para entrar cá, então decidi candidatar-me a várias universidades espanholas e acabei por escolher ir para a UAB.

5.     Preferes viver em Barcelona ou Aveiro?

Aveiro, por causa do meu namorado, família e amigos de infância. “Home is where the heart is, right”? :) Barcelona é uma grande cidade que me deu muitas memórias e tenho bons amigos dos quais também sentirei falta, mas tem sido muito difícil estar todos estes anos longe dos que amo. Além disso, apesar de Barcelona ser uma cidade fantástica e muito bonita, é também muito grande e tem tantas pessoas que é fácil sentir-me sozinha e perdida no meio de uma multidão.

6.     Que especialidade estás a pensar escolher?

Gosto muito de endocrinologia e gostava de seguir essa área, mas requer uma nota elevada no exame da especialidade e também gosto de outras áreas, portanto ainda há muitas hipóteses em aberto.

7.     Tens hobbies?

Adoro ler e escrever, escrevo muito dentro do universo da Jane Austen e nesse período de tempo que me fascina tanto. Também gosto de andar de bicicleta, fazer longos passeios, ir ao cinema, estar com os amigos, e claro, ir às compras! :p

8.     Coisas que gostes de fazer?
Estar com o meu namorado, é sem duvida a nº1

Dar longos passeios por Barcelona com a minha grande amiga Ba enquanto falamos de tudo e mais alguma coisa

Ser a personal shopper da minha mãe, irmã e namorado e ajudá-los nas compras

Ir à praia e bronzear
O sentido de humor incrível da minha irmã

Encontros com as minhas amigas e rir a noite toda com elas

Fazer sobremesas e ver a casa de prazer de quem as saboreia

Ver a chuva a cair enquanto estou em casa quentinha

9.     Estação favorita?

Definitivamente o Verão, mas também adoro os primeiros dias de Outono, para mim são os mais bonitos do ano.

10.  Quantas saias tens no teu armário?

Ok, existem muuuuitas pessoas que me perguntam isto. Quem me conhece sabe que adoro saias. Não tenho a certeza, tenho andado a coleciona-las há vários anos. Eu diria que mais de 50 de certeza, entre todas as estações, mas um dia junto-as todas e conto-as :p

11.  Cor favorita?

Definitivamente coral!

12.  Como defines o teu estilo?

Eu diria que é uma mistura entre boho e preppy.

13.  Livro favorito?

Orgulho&Preconceito, sem sobra de dúvidas

14.  Filme favorito?

Orgulho&Preconceito (sou consistente! :p e já o devo ter visto umas… 50 vezes?!)

Também Anna Karenina, Les Miserables (e qualquer musical) e a Bela e o Monstro (e qualquer um da Disney! :p)

15.  Vês alguma série?

Sim, sou tão viciada em séries! Vejo Modern Family, Teoria do Big Bang, True Blood, Game of Thrones, e claro, Sex and the City.

16.  Comida favorita?

Massa com qualquer coisa, pizza, lasanha, fruta e sobremesas de chocolate.

17.  Porquê começar um blog de moda?

Sempre tive uma grande paixão por moda e vejo blogs de moda há anos. Acho que tenho um estilo próprio e gostava de inspirar outras pessoas.

18.  Quem te tira as fotos?

O meu namorado e a minha irmã.

19.  Porquê o nome “Tere’s Scrubs”?

Andava à procura de um nome… e ocorreu-me que as roupas são o meu uniforme diário e os scrubs (pijamas cirúrgicos) são o meu uniforme no hospital, então fiz a ligação entre os dois. Ah e eu sou a Tere, ou Teresa :)

20. Expectativas para o "Tere's Scrubs"?
Poder inspirar os meus leitores, divertir-me com o blog (mesmo que dê trabalho), melhorar o meu estilo e eu própria, criar um "diário de estilo", que será tão bom para rever mais tarde, e conhecer novos bloggers e leitores! :)

Espero que as respostas não pareçam demasiado tontas, foi estranho fazer este post, mas é isto o que implica ter um blog, sair da nossa zona de conforto, o que eu estava a precisar na realidade. Liebster Award

Hi everyone!
So today I bring you a different kind of post, hope you like it!
There is an online challenge between bloggers called the Liebster Award, where the bloggers nominate new bloggers with less than 200 followers. I have been nominated by Ana from "A Boémia Catita" (Thank you Ana!) and now I have to answer to 11 questions proposed by her:


1. Why create a blog?
I follow fashion blogs since 2009 and they have always been a great inspiration source on how to dress, what pieces to choose and to know the new trends. I like the concept of geting inspiration from real girls that dress for every-day-life instead of looking at skinny models with aute couture in the catwalks.
So after a lot of thinking and been encourajed by my friends and boyfriend I decided to take that step and try to inspire people just like others have inspired me.

2. What is the theme of your blog?
Mostly fashion, but I also like to talk about my day and if in the future I find an insteresting theme, I will talk about it.

3. With what lifestyle do you identify yourself the most?
I'm a hard working girl, and studying medicine takes a lot of work. I would like to have a more relaxing life but it is impossible with all the adrenaline of classes and hospital life

4. What do you think about the blogger community?
I discovered that it is a huge and diversified community which is great. There are bloggs about almost anything that you can think of and from every possible country and I love getting to know such different profiles.

5. Which was your inspiration when you created the blog?
I inspired in some bloggers that I've been following for years, but mostly I wanna show you my personal style and point of view. The idea is that you can have a career, be a responsible and hard working woman and still interest about fashion and be presentable every day.

6. How many posts do you do per week (on average)?
My blog is really young, the first 2 weeks I posted every day, but now I will try to do 3 to 4 per week.

7. What do you do on a daily basis to change the world?
I try to change the world of the people that surround me and especially the ones I love, I want to be a part of their lives and also want to share my life with them

8. What do you love most about yourself and why?
I consider myself a responsible and hard working person, all I have I got it trough my hard work and it is really important to always give our best to conquer our goals and dreams.

9. What were the difficulties you find after creating the blog?
At the beginning is really hard to have new readers and followers. We post full-hearted and tell our friends about the blog and ask to pass the word and every new follower is a victory!

10. Are you happy with your blog?
Yes, I am! I really happy I finally had the courage to do such an old dream and from now on I just hope to still have the time and opportunity to keep posting.

11. What did you think about this nomination?
I was really happy, as I said before, it is really hard to have new readers at the beginning and I am very glad that Ana thought the blog was up to the challenge!

Hoje trago um post diferente, espero que gostem! Existem um desafio online chamado o Liebster Award no qual bloggers nomeiam novos bloggers com menos de 200 seguidores. Eu fui nomeada pela Ana da "A Boémia Catita" (Obrigada Ana!) e agora tenho de responder a 11 perguntas feitas por ela:

 1.     Porquê criar um blog?

Há alguns anos que sigo blogs de moda (desde 2009 acho) e sempre foram a minha fonte de inspiração para vestir, aprender a escolher roupa e conhecer novas tendências. Gosto do conceito de tirar inspiração de raparigas normais, que se vestem para o dia-a-dia, em vez que modelos com roupas de alta costura feitas só para passerelles. Assim que, depois de muito pensar e de ser encorajada pelas minhas amigas e pelo meu namorado, decidi ganhar coragem e começar um blog, para também inspirar outras pessoas tal como me inspiraram a mim tantas outras bloggers.

2.     Qual o tema mais abrangido no teu blog?

O meu blog tem como tema principal a moda, mas também falo do meu dia-a-dia, e quando encontrar algum tema relevante também falarei dele.

3.     Com que estilo de vida mais te identificas?

Sou uma pessoa muito trabalhadora e o meu curso, Medicina, exige muito de mim. Gostaria de ter um estilo de vida mais relaxado mas com toda a adrenalina das aulas e vida de hospital é impossível.

4.     O que achas da atual comunidade de bloggers?

Acho que é uma comunidade muito grande e diversificada e isso é muito bom. Hoje em dia há blogs de qualquer tema e de qualquer nacionalidade e fico muito feliz de encontrar tantos blogs portugueses com tanta qualidade!

5.     Qual foi a tua inspiração na hora de criar o blog?

Inspirei-me em algumas bloggers que sigo há anos, mas principalmente quero transmitir o meu estilo pessoal e a ideia de que é possível ter um curso, um trabalho, ser uma mulher séria e com responsabilidades, e mesmo assim manter a sua identidade e o seu estilo e estar bonita e confiante.

6.     Em média, quantas publicações fazes por semana?

O meu blog é muito jovem, ainda nem 3 semanas tem, nas primeiras duas semanas publiquei cada dia, mas agora tentarei manter o ritmo de 3 a 4 publicações por semana

7.     O que fazes no teu dia-a-dia para mudar o mundo?

No meu dia-a-dia tento mudar o mundo das pessoas que me rodeiam para melhor, em especial as que amo, quero fazer parte dele e partilhar o meu com elas.

8.     O que mais gostas em ti? Porquê?

Considero-me uma pessoa trabalhadora e responsável, tudo o que tenho só o consegui com o meu trabalho e acho que é muito importante dar-mos o nosso melhor para chegar aos nossos objetivos e sonhos.

9.     Quais as dificuldades que encontraste e encontras depois de criar o blog?

Quando estamos no início é muito difícil ter leitores e seguidores novos. Publicamos com o coração, falamos do blog aos amigos e pedimos para passarem a palavra, e cada novo seguidor é uma vitória!

10.  Estás satisfeita com o teu blog?

Sim, estou muito feliz por ter tido coragem de concretizar um desejo tão antigo e daqui para a frente só espero continuar a ter tempo e oportunidade de postar no blog.

11. O que achaste da tua nomeação para este prémio?

Fiquei muito feliz com a nomeação, como já referi antes, no início é muito difícil ter novos leitores e fico muito feliz que a Ana tenha considerado o meu blog à altura!
